TMC W70

Dimensional stability under heat and stress for long-lasting bearing accuracy

TMC W70 is a next-generation bearing material engineered for demanding industrial applications. Developed from PEEK (polyether ether ketone) reinforced with continuous hoop-wound carbon fibers, TMCW70 combines the chemical resistance and thermal stability of PEEK with the exceptional strength and stiffness of carbon reinforcement.

The continuous hoop-winding process aligns carbon fibers precisely in the load direction, producing outstanding hoop strength, low creep, and superior dimensional stability under high radial stresses. This structure results in bearings that maintain tight tolerances, minimize wear, and deliver consistent performance even in high-temperature, high-load, or chemically aggressive environments.

With production completely controlled and done in our production facility in The Netherlands, the quality of TMC W70 is unmatched in the current market. This flexibility provides short lead times, as well as the possibility for us to produce raw tubes closer to the requested dimensions, which results in a lower costs for us and thus for our customers.

Characteristics

  • Very Low Thermal Expansion

    The thermal expansion of TMC W70 is very low over the entire temperature range. As it is almost zero, it has perfect press fit opportunities for your design! The material has a perfect running clearance for applications that require high temperatures. So no glass transitions problems!

  • Great Chemical & Wear Resistance

    Due to the presence of PEEK, carbon and other fillers in the material TMC W70 has both excellent chemical resistance as wear resistance. Swell in media will not occur which is one of the reasons we recommend this material for media with abrasives.

  • Extremely High Tensile & Compression Strength

    As TMC W70 has a very high tensile strength it is therefore perfectly suited to be used as a high demanding radial bearing. We also recommend TMC W70 for mag-drives and multistage applications.
