TMC S25® is a high performance thermoplastic developed for applications where a thermoplastic is desired but not used due to high wear of the media. TMC S25 is made to fill the gap between all thermoplastics and ceramics currently available. As it is thermoshock proof as well as easy machinable and has excellent wear resistance, it is used most commonly as bearing in high demanding applications. Furthermore, swell in media will not occur which is one of the reasons we also recommend this material as a replacement for ceramics in media with extreme abrasives.

The thermal expansion of TMC S25 is very low over the entire temperature range. As it is slightly above Duplex and Stainless Steel it has perfect press fit opportunities for your design! The material has a perfect running clearance for applications that require high temperatures. So no glass transitions problems!
As TMC S25 has matrix of PEEK, and consists of multiple fillers including carbon, it has both excellent chemical resistance as wear resistance. Swell in media will not occur which is one of the reasons we recommend this material as a replacement for ceramics in media with extreme abrasives.
Thanks to the high compressive strength of TMC S25, it is perfectly suited to be used as an axial bearing and it can act as axial and radial solution at the same time. We also recommend TMC S25 for mag-drives and multistage applications.
In comparison to ceramics TMC S25 can be offered at very low costs! Therefor it is an excellent replacement for ceramic materials and plates as well as Silicon carbide (SiC) and other carbon materials.
